CLINTON, Tenn. (WATE) — The Clinton Police Department has arrested a juvenile suspect in the investigation of a fatal shooting of a 19-year-old on Thursday.

Officers responded to the shooting at 800 Fowler Street around 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Payton Bridges, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Friday that a juvenile suspect has been charged with homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

A release said that the suspect and Bridges are from the Clinton area and were acquaintances.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the case. The investigation is ongoing.
