Pets Without Parents is partnering with the PARC Foundation to present the third Color Me Mutt 5K pet fun run and 1 mile fun walk on April 14, 2018, at the NASCAR SpeedPark.

Pets Without Parents is the rescue and shelter for animals in Sevier County. The PARC Foundation is the charitable arm of the NASCAR SpeedPark.

The fun run/walk with pets and parents running the 5K course or walking the 1 mile section will kick the event off at 8 a.m. All participants will receive a t-shirt, commemorative pet item, and one package of color.

The Pet Parade, beginning at 9:30, gives pets and their owners a chance to show off their true colors and win prizes in categories such as Best Twinkies, Best Groomed and Rough and Tough.

All proceeds from the event will help fund expanded facilities at Pets Without Parents and allow the PARC Foundation to continue its mission of strengthening families by positively impacting its community partner organizations in Sevier County.

The cost of the event is $35 if registered by March 4, $40 if registered by March 28, $45 if regis-tered by April 13 and $50 the day of the race. Costs for the fun run and walk also include partic-ipation in the Pet Parade. If pet owners don’t want to run or walk they can still participate in the parade for $10, $15 on the day of the race.
