The 2019 Knox Shamrock Fest is happening this weekend and promises family fun with Celtic cultural fusion in order to benefit the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation.
The fun begins in the setting of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day – the famous Irish feast day.
The weekend of Shamrock Fest, which is also presented by Fresenius Kidney Care, will include live Irish dancing, Celtic music, dance performances, cultural activities, “authentic Irish food and drink,” games, face painting and the Lucky Kidney 6K run/walk as well as an Old City Pub Crawl.
Lucky Kidney 6K run and 2K fun walk info: The 6K course starts in Market Square and heads down Gay Street to the 4th & Gill neighboorhood and back to downtown. The race is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16.
