Plans for the Knoxville St. Patrick’s Parade and Cel-O’bragh-tion have been announced.
The parade will take place on Saturday, March 17.
Check-in begins at 11 a.m. at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum. The parade begins at 1 p.m.
Parade units will be staged on Howard Baker Jr. Blvd., travel up Church St. and turn right on Gay Street, continue over Summit Hill and make the sharp turn onto Jackson Ave. The parade will disband just past Barley’s in the parking lot on Jackson and Willow.
There will also be a party in Krutch Park off of Gay Stet with live music, drinks, an inflatable pub, games and more. Vendors will be serving food from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Featured vendors include Mama Gallina’s, Gelato Brothers, Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, Captain Muchachos and Forks on the Road.
From 2 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. the Get Reels will play in Krutch Park, followed by The Regal Beagles Band from 6-8 p.m.
There will also be games, face painting and more.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Catholic Charities of East Tennessee. With eleven programs throughout the East Tennessee region, the social services agency delivers a variety of services to thousands of people each year.
