An upcoming event, “Smoke Break,” will offer strategies for helping smoker to formulate a plan to quit smoking with the help of a clinical psychologist, a pulmonologist plus a chance to enroll in UT Medical Center’s smoking cessation program.
“Smoke Break” will feature clinical psychologist, Debra Sullivan, PhD – who will discuss behavior methods such as mindful meditation and support systems that will assist those wanting to quit; the event will aslo feature Dr. John Callison, a pulmonologist, will also be speaking about screening for lung cancer and the benefits of quitting.
Dinner is included and parking is free for those attending “Smoke Break” on Tuesday, March 5, starting at 6 p.m. at the UT Medical Center Cancer Institute 3rd Floor Conference Room.
