The Transportation Security Administration is trying to speed up security lines at local airports and offering an enrollment event into its PreCheck program.
TSA PreCheck runs a background check before passengers get to the airport and once pre-screened passengers get to the airport, they won’t have to remove their shoes, or worry about liquids or laptops – therefore making their way through the security checkpoint faster.
McGhee Tyson Airport had opened a pop-up enrollment event for TSA PreCheck that was scheduled for March 25 through April 5, but, it’s already fully booked.
But, not to worry, the TSA is instead offering help at a permanent PreCheck location in North Knoxville, located off of Maynardville Pike.
TSA PreCheck enrollment appointments can be made here.
