Knoxville will play host to the 2018 US Professional Road, Individual Time Trial & Criterium National Championships this summer. It will mark the first time all US national champions in professional road cycling will be crowned the same week in one host community.
This is the second year for Knoxville to host the U.S. Pro Road and Individual Time Trial championships and its first to host Criterium championships.
The ITT will be held on a 6.9 mile section of roadways along the banks of Melton Lake and the Oak Ridge Rowing venue.
The 1.1-mile Criterium circuit will start and finish on Gay Street. The pro road race will also start and finish on Gay Street but the 7.9-mile route covers iconic Knoxville landmarks like the Gay Street Bridge, Sherrod Street and will use James White Parkway to return downtown through the historic Old City.
The races will begin Thursday, June 21 with the Individual Time Trial and will conclude Sunday, June 24 with the Professional Road Race. The event will open to the public and free of charge with VIP access tickets available for purchase.
