KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The 2015 Big BBQ Bash is scheduled for June 26-27 at Founder’s Square in downtown Maryville.
The event is a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned, professional Barbecue cook-off and fundraiser for the Helen Ross McNabb Center.
Teams from all over the Southeast will compete in barbecue and grilling competitions in various meat categories.
Governor Bill Haslam has proclaimed the Bigh BBQ Bash as a state championship, making it a qualifier for the American Royal Barbecue Cook-Off and Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue.
The 2015 competition also serves as the third leg of the Triple Crown, a series of barbecue competitions in Knoxville, Sevierville and Maryville.SCHEDULE OF EVENTSFriday, June 26Saturday, June 27
