Bishop Richard Stika released from hospital after diabetic incident

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Bishop Richard Stika of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Knoxville has been released from the hospital after he was admitted to recover from a diabetic incident suffered on March 25.

A representative of the church says the bishop wants to thank those who offered prayers and sent best wishes during his recovery.

A spokesperson for the church says Bishop Stika is stabilizing from what’s being called a critical situation.

Stika will resume his pastoral duties.
