Breast Connect Goes Live at Knoxville’s Square Room

News

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A concert featuring The Coveralls will be held May 12 from 7p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Square Room in Market Square. Tickets are $20, and all the proceeds from sales will be donated to Breast Connect, a newly created Knoxville non-profit organization that brings together a community of breast cancer survivors from the East Tennessee area.

“When you receive a breast cancer diagnosis, there is so much to take in, and the emotional strain can make it seem unfathomable that you will ever regain your bearings or sense of self.” Said Leslie Apking, a breast cancer survivor and member of the organization. “Breast Connect provides an instant sense of community, support, and inspiration from women who are literally in it WITH you. Breast Connect is a place you can receive instant input from multiple women who have been there.”

Tickets for the event can be purchased by visiting Breast Connect’s website.

There will be a cash bar. All proceeds will fund the organization’s start up costs.
