ALCOA (WATE) – The City of Alcoa’s FreedomFest, a popular Independence Day celebration for the whole family, is set for June 27.
The event will take place at Alcoa Duck Pond from 6-11 p.m.
Fireworks production Pyro Shows, Inc. will provide fireworks show to popular music from patriotic to pop hits.
In addition to the display, an entertainment stage located in the Duck Pond parking lot will feature musical performances by Nuthin’ Fancy featuring Garrett Holloway at 6 p.m. Smooth Groove will take the stage at 8 p.m. with a 20 minute break starting at 9:40 p.m. for the fireworks show.
A children’s area will be located between Duck Pond and Springbrook Pool. Activities include a climbing wall, bounce house, inflatable slide, obstacle course and face painting.
Expanded parking will be available in the field at the corner of Springbrook Road and Edison Street and in the parking lots at the newly constructed Alcoa High School. A speedier exit will be available with the temporary opening of the road leading directly from Faraday Street to Hall Road and Alcoa Highway/US 129
