NEWPORT, Tenn. (WATE) – Cocke County Schools have delaying the first day of class to August 17.
Students in Cocke County had been scheduled to go back August 3. The district also urged parents to make sure their families phone numbers and addresses on-file are correct so updates can be sent out.
Administrators say parents should keep an eye on communications from the district and their child’s school.
