Crews respond to house fire


CORRYTON, Tenn. (WATE) – Crews with Rural Metro Fire were responding to a report of a house fire in the 4000 block of Idumea Road Tuesday evening.

RMF telling WATE 6 On Your Side that everyone was out of the house.

Later Tuesday night, RMF officials said the call for the fire occurred around 6 p.m. and when crews arrived at the scene, they found the detached garaged “full engulfed,” with flames threatening the adjacent home.

An occupant was at home, RMF said, and they escaped unharmed.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
