CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — A body has been found in the Pleasant Hill area on Thursday, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and investigators were dispatched to Highway 70 West where they found a body in a ditch. The sheriff’s office has identified the person found in the ditch as Timothy Thompson, 32, of Pleasant Hill.

Thompson’s body was taken to the medical examiner for an autopsy. The sheriff’s office says the exact cause of death will be determined after the medical examiner’s report is complete.

According to a release from the sheriff’s office, the Medical Examiner said there were no signs of trauma and the investigation did not suggest any “foul play.”
