Heiskell Road reopens after emergency crews respond to overturned tanker

HEISKELL, Tenn. (WATE) – Emergency crews responded Wednesday night to a reported incident involving a tanker in the 1300 block of West Raccoon Valley Drive.

Rural Metro Fire – Knox County saying the overturned semi-tanker was carrying liquid latex.

Fire officials say the driver told them he just felt the trailer ease off the roadway and that pulled the tractor over as well.

The road reopened around 5:30 a.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported.

Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

According to dispatch, the call came in just before 7 p.m.
