Farragut hosts Independence Day parade


FARRAGUT (WATE) – The city of Farragut celebrated Independence Day with a parade and 5k run Monday.

The Farragut Freedom Run was held at 9 a.m. It featured a 1-mile and 2-mile run starting at Farragut Town Hall.

The parade started at 9:30 a.m on Kingston Pike. Community floats, bands, animals, antique cars, dance groups went along the parade route from Lendon Welch Way to Boring Road. Attendees received candy and other goodies, including frisbees.
