Blount County road reopens after shutdown due to gas leak

LOUISVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – The Blount County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday night Mentor Road has reopened following an afternoon gas leak in the area.

The road has reopened to one lane.

BCSO saying just before 4 p.m. Thursday a section of the road had closed between Johnston Road and Airbase Road – near the Mentor Community Park – “due to a gas leak in the area.”

BSCO also saying for drivers to “please use caution” in the area.
