The Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society is at capacity with animals and cannot take in any more cats or dogs.

Executive Director Amy Bowman said over the past few months they have received a large number of animals due to several cruelty cases.

It’s left the kennels and cages at the shelter completely full.

Bowman says they need the community’s help to make sure these animals find their “fur-ever” homes.

“Since we are a no-kill facility, we don’t euthanize any of the animals we bring in,” Bowman said. “Therefore, they stay here until they get a home.”

She said an adoption event will be held this Saturday at the Tractor Supply in Greeneville to help find homes for these animals.
