KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Two people were found dead from gunshot wounds in a Knoxville home Sunday morning, according to Knoxville Police Department Public Information Officer Scott Erland.
The two people were identified as Ashley Green, 38 and D’Edward Green, 35, both from Knoxville.
Knoxville police responded to the 900 block of Graves Street after receiving a call around 9:30 a.m. about two unresponsive people in the home.
When officers arrived, they found both victims who died from apparent gunshot wounds, according to Erland.
KPD Violent Crimes Unit investigators and Crime Lab personnel, including the Medical Examiner’s Office, responded to the scene.
Both victims were taken to the Regional Forensic Center for further examination. The center has not determined the cause or manner of the victims’ deaths.
“The incident is believed to be domestic related and not connected to any other recent incidents in Knoxville,” Erland said.
The investigation is ongoing.
