KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Police has released the name of the victim who was killed in a house fire that happened on March 8.

Rural Metro Fire- Knox County said previously that a female victim has died. The Knox Count Sheriff’s Office released that the woman who died was Rebecca S. Kirby, 76, and that her spouse, Ronald Kirby, 72, has been released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

According to KCSO, the cause of the fire has been ruled undetermined and no foul play is suspected.

Earlier, Rural Metro Fire – Knox County reported that two adult victims had been taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with what were believed to be life-threatening injuries after a house fire late Wednesday.

Rural Metro Fire posted to social media after 10:30 p.m. about a home on the 4100 block of East Governor John Sevier Highway being on fire. According to Knox County Sheriff’s Office, patrol units and fire investigators were also on the scene.
