Knoxville bachelor auction raises $35,000 for Friends of Literacy

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Friday night’s bachelor auction at the Crowne Plaza in Knoxville raised $35,000 for Friends of Literacy.

WATE 6 On Your Side reporters Brandon Rook and Cameron Taylor took part in the auction. Someone bought a date with Brandon for $375. A date with Cameron went for $200.Previous story: Two WATE 6 On Your Side reporters competing in Friends of Literacy Bachelor Auction

Friends of Literacy provides free programs to adults in Knox County who don’t have the education they need to compete in the job market.
