Knoxville city council approves prescribed sheep grazing to fight invasive species

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Knoxville leaders give the final okay to allow prescribed sheep grazing Tuesday at a City Council meeting.

Prescribed goat grazing has already been allowed in Knoxville.

The council’s vote Tuesday night to allow prescribed sheep grazing came after the animal control board found that they are just as well suited to remove invasive plant species as goats are, only sheep are less prone to making noises.
