KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon and her mom threw the “first pitch” at the fundraiser to fight Alzheimer’s in Knoxville on Saturday morning.

Kincannon’s mother is a resident of South High Senior Living where the baseball-themed fundraiser was held. Various activities were available for the residents and attendees to enjoy.

“Coming off COVID it’s just been a crazy year. So being able to do this and have our resident’s families here, that’s something that we definitely don’t take for granted,” said the Director of Sales and Marketing, Chelsea Irwin, said. “I know that the families don’t take it for granted either, so we’re just super excited to have everyone here and enjoying and raising money for a great cause.”

Tickets for the event were $10 and all proceeds went to 4mom.org.
