KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Knoxville Opera Guild’s annual Martini Party returns on April 2 from 7:00 to midnight at the Jackson Terminal in the Old City.
This year’s theme is “Viva La Diva,” which is a continuation of the year-long celebration of Tosca, Knoxville Opera’s ground-breaking production taking place on April 30. Guests of this annual celebration will be treated to heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, cigar sampling, and live music by Heyday Revival and Knoxville’s own Mercedes Alexander. While guests are encouraged to dress as casual or as diva as they want, Lovingood Photography will be on site to capture your inner diva in a stage-set dressing room.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Knoxville Opera Guild and arts education in public schools. This outreach program aims to encourage and strengthen the performing arts in East Tennessee by educating students about opera and its role in our culture. Knoxville Opera has performed free, in-school performances for more than 39,000 students.
Tickets are $45 and can be purchased at KnoxvilleOpera.com/Guild-events.
