LAFOLLETTE (WATE) – A public intoxication charge ended up being the 69th arrest of a LaFollette man.
Lowell Murray, 43, was arrested on February 23 when an officer saw him walking in the middle of East Central Avenue toward oncoming traffic.
The officer said Murray had a strong smell of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet.
Officials say the arrest was Murray’s 69th in Campbell County and his 20th public intoxication arrest. His first arrest was in June 1998 when he was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Other charges include rape, domestic violence, vandalism and sexual battery.
