One person was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after a crash involving a Knox County Sheriff’s Office paddy wagon.
Deputies say the paddy wagon collided with a Crown Victoria around 6 p.m. in the 5500 block of Middlebrook Pike. A patrol supervisor driving behind the wagon witnessed the wreck and said the wagon swerved to try to miss the car, but ended up T-boning it.
A passenger in the Crown Victoria was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was hurt.
The driver was cited for not having registration, no insurance, and failure to exercise due care. The car’s license plate was registered to a different car.
