Several East Tennessee high school basketball players were suspended for what school officials say was “inappropriate behavior” after a game in Oak Ridge.
The 12 students involved were from the boys and girls teams at Cleveland High School.
The director of schools saying they broke curfew after their game in Oak Ridge on Friday, December 14. According to the school system, five of those students had ‘various degrees of consensual sexual contact’ after sneaking out of their hotel rooms.
All 12 students received five days out of school suspension.
A formal activity council will review their conduct and determine their eligibility to play.
Cleveland police and the Bradley County District Attorney’s office are also investigating.
