SCOTT COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) – Two people died after a crash in Scott County Friday.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says the crash happened on U.S. Highway 27 around 9:47 a.m.
A 2010 Nissan Sentra driven by Jeffrey Maney, 28, was going northbound when it crossed into the southbound lane and hit a 2013 Kia Optima driven by Margaret Bridges, 60, head on.
Both drivers were killed in the crash. Tennessee Highway Patrol officers say neither driver was wearing a seat belt and it might have made a difference in the crash.
