A 3.4 earthquake hit just north of Maynardville, Tennessee, on Tuesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Many WATE 6 On Your Side viewers near Knoxville have reported feeling the quake. Employees at WATE 6 On Your Side felt the quake as well.
Earthquakes between 3.0 and 4.0 are often felt but rarely cause damage. You may also notice indoor items shaking.
The USGS originally said the tremor was a 3.3 but upgraded it to a 3.4.
