3 arrested after large amount of drugs, money found in home

Three people were arrested after a search warrant led to the discovery of large amounts of drugs and money, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Kenneth Hester, of Detroit, Michigan, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic for resale. Kim Edmonds, of Jefferson City, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kendra Long, of Jefferson City, was also arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Friday, February 1st, deputies executed a search warrant on the 1500 block of Majesty Drive in Jefferson City.

The home was identified as a known location for drug activity. A search of the residence revealed 79 Opana 40 mg pills. Those pills have a $120 street value per pill for a total of $10,000.

Deputies also seized $14,285.00 from the home.

Hester, Edmonds and Long are being held at the Jefferson County Detention Center.
