Three people were arrested in Blount County in connection with a stolen pick-up truck that was recovered in Monroe County.
Deputies say the incident started around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, when deputies were notified of a 2007 F250 Harley Davidson edition reportedly stolen from a home on High View Drive in Louisville. A deputy on the way to the call spotted a vehicle matching that description on Lamar Alexander Parkway with another pick-up truck following closely behind.
After deputies confirmed the vehicle in front was the one reported stolen, they tried to pull them over, but both trucks sped off.
Another deputy was able to stop the other truck and found 70 grams of crystal meth inside. Williams Charles Roberts Jr., 61, is charged with delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance (crystal methamphetamine) for resale. Wendy Lee Guardino, 43, is charged with failure to appear on a previous charge.
Deputies say they determined Joshua Loflin had stolen the F250 and taken it to a home in Madisonville. Officers arrested Lofflin at that home and recovered the vehicle. He is charged with failure to appear in Monroe County and theft of a motor vehicle in Blount County.
