Four people have been arrested after a burglary at a Knox County gun shop that resulted in the theft of more than 50 firearms.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was called to Knoxville Tactical, 7609 Blueberry Road in Powell, around 7 a.m. on November 29.
After an investigation, deputies say they determined Matthew Lane of Farragut was responsible and was able to get away with 56 firearms.
Three other suspects, Steven Joe Bell, Terry Dewayne Griffin, and Markise Tyrone Witt are also accused of helping with the burglary and sale of the stolen firearms.
Deputies served a search warrant at a home on Lilac Avenue where they found several stolen guns and three kilograms of what appears to be methamphetamine. The investigation is ongoing.
