4 more areas of Knox County to be sprayed for mosquitoes

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - Four more areas of Knox County have tested positive for West Nile virus and are scheduled to be sprayed for mosquitoes, weather permitting.

The Fourth Avenue, Tower Drive, Choto/Heron's Point and Gulf Park/Venice Road areas are scheduled to be sprayed on Thursday, October 11, between 8:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. Signs will be posted in the affected areas and people are asked to stay inside and keep their pets inside or in their backyards.

Follow-up spraying is scheduled for Thursday, October 25, weather permitting.
