Six people were arrested in Blount County on Tuesday in two separate incidents involving drugs and deputies found crystal meth for sale.
The Blount County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to a church parking lot on Piney Level Church Road regarding a partially clothed man who was passed out.
When deputies arrived, they found Danny McTaggart, 31, who admitted to using meth over the last few days.
Deputies say they learned that earlier in the day, McTaggart had been at a home on Whites Mill Road. Deputies went there and found David Carver, 63, and Andy Harvey, 34, in a vehicle in the driveway using drugs.
Deputies and an agent with the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force searched the vehicle and found a bag in the trunk containing 6.1 grams of crystal meth.
Cameron Rigsby, 29; Jackie Stillwell, 44; and Robert Bayless, 25, were all inside the home and were arrested on outstanding warrants. A woman in the vehicle was released without any charges.
