An East Tennessee wildlife preserve used the release of one of its animals to honor some of the nation’s bravest.
The American Bald Eagle Foundation released a 14-week-old Bald Eaglet Tuesday morning. It was released into the wild in Dandridge Tuesday to honor fallen service men and women along with local first responders.
She was named ‘Little Honor’.
This is the 11th eaglet to be born and raised in captivity by her parents ‘Honor and ‘Bravery’. She is also the 165th bald eagle the foundation has released into the wild.
The American Eagle Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to bald eagle rehabilitation, recovery and breeding programs since 1985.
