Ancient Lore Village breaks ground on two prototype resort homes

Local News

A $40 million resort slated to open in South Knoxville in 2020 has broken ground on two prototypes of the resorts’ living spaces.

Ancient Lore Village has broken ground on two prototype homes. These homes will not initially be occupied but will be used as open house venues for several local charities this fall, according to a release from the resort’s marketing firm.

The prototype homes will be used to validate the project’s overall budget.

The new 40-acre resort will feature more than 150 period homes and treehouses, a restaurant, a 500-person event center and a 1,000-seat outdoor amphitheater.

The resort is based on a work of fiction Tom Boyd wrote titled, The Bobbins – Outcast to the Inner Earth.
