Appalachian Bear Rescue helping a new little one this month.

Malnourished and dehydrated, 13-month-old “Hartley Bear” was found on Valentine’s Day.

A man from the Kentucky Department of Transportation called the organization when the little bear cub was found on the side of the road – missing fur and infested with ticks.

For the last 6 days, curators have been working to help Hartley gain weight.

They give him small amounts of formula every four hours to help Hartley slowly get up to full strength.

Appalachian Bear Rescue relies 100 percent on donations from the public.

If you’d like to help, they have a fundraiser linked on their Facebook page
