BCSO seeks suspect after he allegedly backed car into deputy’s cruiser

Blount County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding the suspect who officials say backed a stolen car into a sheriff’s cruiser before fleeing the scene. 

The sheriff’s office says the suspect, Ernest Eugene Patrick, 30, refused to stop his car at a traffic stop Sunday night, then backed his car into a deputy’s cruiser. 

Patrick is facing a list of charges including aggravated assault with a weapon. 

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office says Patrick and another man ran from the crash, neither one of them turning up following a search effort.
