The Blount County Sheriff’s Office gained a new deputy on Wednesday. 4-year-old Bryson Huffman was deputized by Sheriff James Berrong as part of celebrating his fourth birthday.
His dad, Dustin Huffman, took young Bryson to the sheriff’s office and Bryson was given an official certificate along with a junior deputy badge.
After becoming an official junior deputy for the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Bryson and his father visited with Traffic Safety Deputy and motorman Brian Gross and Sgt. Jeff hicks. During his visit, Bryson got the opportunity to handcuff and put his dad under arrest.
