Burt Reynolds is set to attend the Knoxville premiere of “The Last Movie Star,” the film which was shot almost entirely in Knoxville.

Reynolds will walk the red carpet at the Tennessee Theatre on Thursday night. The screening begins at 7:30 p.m.

The film, based largely on Reynolds’ real life, was written and directed by Adam Rifkin and follows the story of an aging actor (Reynolds) who was once Hollywood’s biggest star and returns to his hometown to accept an award.

Select autographed memorabilia from the movie will be part of a silent auction in the lobby of the Tennessee Theatre before and after the screening.
