KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Knoxville Police officials said on Thursday there are no charges for two women who emptied a $600 bottle of tequila and three-quarters of another bottle at a Knoxville rooftop bar last week.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, the women, who were not identified by officials, have paid restitution to the bar, and bar management has decided not to press charges. KPD has closed the case.

Earlier this week, investigators were seeking help from the public to identify the women who were suspected of stealing two bottles of tequila from the Radius Rooftop Lounge in Knoxville on June 15.

Crime Stoppers had shared images of the two suspects on its social media in an effort to identify them; but the images have since been removed. WATE is also removing the images shared by Crime Stoppers from this web story since no charges were filed against the two women.

The Radius Rooftop Lounge overlooks Gay Street and is located on the 14th floor of the new Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville Downtown. The glass-encased lounge has a near-360-degree view of the downtown skyline as well as the Tennessee River and Smokies. It also has security cameras; from which investigators were working to identify the two suspects in the tequila theft.
