CHIME IN: Officials want input on Chapman Highway improvements

Local News

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Knoxville-Knox County Planning and the City of Knoxville are asking for residents to chime in on a plan to improve Chapman Highway.

The road has been a sore spot for years with the state’s count of 76 deaths on the stretch of highway since 2005.

A public meeting was held last week for residents to look at plans for taking action and now those residents are being asked to help create a plan.

As part of the county’s promise to make Chapman Highway safer, the Chapman Highway Implementation Plan Survey has been created.
