A worker at the Copper Cellar West restaurant is suing owner and mayoral candidate Mike Chase claiming sexual harassment and a hostile work environment.

The lawsuit from Ana Tipton-Budzynski and her husband names the Copper Cellar Corporation and the company’s human resources director Rick Eldridge as defendants.

The suit claims Chase made sexual comments to Tipton-Budzynski and comments about another server while Chase was having dinner and drinks at the restaurant in December.

It also claims that Copper Cellar’s human resources policy was ineffective and the HR director misrepresented that he conducted a thorough and effective investigation and corrected the problem.

A Copper Cellar representative has not yet responded to a request for comment.
