A woman is seeking millions in compensation for injuries she says she suffered while on a ride at Dollywood last July.

Melissa Stone and her husband Shannon T. Stone filed the lawsuit.

It claims she suffered serious spinal injuries after a ride on the RiverRush Water Coaster at Dollywood’s Splash Country Water Adventure Park last July. She says her raft reached the top of the incline before propelling her off the seat and back onto the raft’s hard surface.

The lawsuit claims Pro Slide Technology was negligent in their design of the ride and that Dolly Parton Productions failed to properly inspect it. She is seeking two million dollars in damages.

The RiverRush Water Coaster opened in May 2013 and is described on the Dollywood website as the first and only ride of its kind in the state. The ride “races through the trees four stories in the air” with four drops along 1,175 feet of track that includes multiple hairpins and dark tunnels.
