A family in the Lonsdale neighborhood of Knoxville got quite the scare Thursday morning when a pickup truck crashed into the side of their home.

Police say a 2008 Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by Billy Housewright, 34, was going south on Johnston Street and hit standing water on the edge of the road.

The truck hydroplaned, hit a pole, went into a yard and crashed into the side of a home. A tall dresser was against the wall that was hit. A piece of the dresser was thrown onto a bed and hit a 9-year-old girl.

The girl was checked out at the scene and will be okay.

Housewright was cited for driving too fast for the conditions.

Remember that Johnston at Connecticut wreck I just posted? Take a look at this! The truck went through a home narrowly missing a little girl. Police still on scene. #WATE #Knoxville (📸 – @WATEAmanda ) pic.twitter.com/ZWoAkbfl4s
