Drugs and loaded handgun recovered after Dandridge traffic stop

A simple traffic stop in Dandridge led to the discovery of illicit drugs and a firearm on Sunday before leading to another arrest at a nearby hotel. 

Dandridge police pulled over a sedan on Highway 92 shortly after midnight on Saturday. During the stop officers observed the passenger, Andy Warren of Jefferson City, remove a bag from his jacket and place it in the floor of the vehicle. 

Officers then removed Warren and the driver, Esther Pridemore, from the vehicle.

The bag was contained just under five grams of crystal meth and nearly two grams of heroin packaged for resale. A further search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 40 caliber Glock handgun under Warren’s seat in addition to scales and other drug paraphernalia. 

The investigation led officers to the Jefferson Inn on Sharon Drive where an additional three grams of crystal meth were recovered. Sanford Lethco of Sevierville was arrested at that location. 

Andy Warren was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, crystal meth possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony, possession of a firearm of a convicted felon and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Sanford Lethco was charged with possession of crystal meth and drug paraphernalia. Esther Pridemore was charged with possession of crystal meth.
