Elementary students get glimpses of ‘Careers on Wheels’

Local News

KNOXVILLE, Tenn, (WATE) – Students at Mooreland Heights Elementary School got a chance to learn about future professions in a unique way Tuesday, as the school had its first ever “Careers on Wheels” event.

The event, taking place during the school’s College and Career Week, taught students about future jobs, even bringing in vehicles associated with some careers.

There was a fire truck, a police cruiser, a limousine and a pet-grooming truck.

Students got to catch some glimpses inside the vehicles and some of the gadgets that go with them, as a fun way to have career exploration.

The school hopes the event helps to teach students to dream big when it comes to different opportunities in their futures.
