Fire consumes vacant house on foust Hollow Road in Knox County

A house that has been vacant for four years was consumed by flames Sunday night in the 8600 block of Foust Hollow Rd.

The fire was reported around 8:40 p.m. Initial crews arrived on the scene to find the fire had already consumed half of the house.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control quickly with no injuries reported. 

The person who called 911 stated the home had been vacant for four years since her mother had moved in with her. A tree had also fallen on the home Saturday night causing damage to the structure.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
