One East Tennessee church family is coming together after flames ripped through their place of worship.
This happening at the Peakland Baptist Church in Meigs County Monday afternoon.
Half a dozen fire stations responded. Crews say the fire appears to have started in the building’s basement. Luckily, nobody was hurt.
State bomb and arson investigators are investigating what happened.
The church thanked the first responders who were on the scene in a Facebook post, adding that ‘God has a plan… we are standing on HIS promises.’
The church also says they will be meeting in their fellowship hall in the meantime.
