Nearly a week after the flooding that inundated East Tennessee, standing water is still sticking around in some spots.
Carolyn Munson lives off Dutchtown Road in West Knox County. She says her family left the house when the water started rising. When they came back, it was underwater, ruining 95 percent of their belongings.
“Sadly over the last week, it has just continued to rise. When we came back there was 8 to 12 inches. Now there’s about three and a half feet,” said Munson.
A fundraiser has been set up for the Munson family.
Another driver got stuck on Northshore Drive on Friday. The Knoxville Police Department continues to warn people to stop driving around barricades.
